Introduction
In this section, typical setup scenarios of the Lightspeed Restaurant K-Series POS product are shown for different types of hotels.
Example Business 1
This example shows a hotel chain that operates three hotel properties in different Business Locations within the same business, each with different revenue centers (POS configurations).
Since all properties are in the same business, they have identical accounting groups (with the same unique ID) and identical payment methods (with the same unique ID).
This scenario is often used in hotels that do not have complex F&B operations.

Example Business 2
This example shows a hotel where each Business Location represents a different F&B outlet within the property.
Since all F&B outlets are in the same business, they have identical accounting groups (with the same unique ID) and identical payment methods (with the same unique ID).
This scenario is used in hotels that have several physical F&B outlets, often the Cross-Business-Location Transfer feature is used here.
This structure is used by 90% of Lightspeed hotel customers.

Example Business 3
This example shows a hotel structure in which Business Locations represent the F&B outlets of a multi property hotel business. The properties of the business may be spread across several cities in the same country.
Since all hotel properties and F&B outlets are in the same business, they have identical accounting groups (with the same unique ID) and identical payment methods (with the same unique ID).
This scenario is used for hotel properties that have several locations and F&B outlets, often the "Cross-Business-Location Transfer" feature is used here.
This structure is used by Lightspeed hotel customers with complex & demanding F&B operations.
